Have you tried comparing the IR temp with a contact type meat thermometer. One way I like to double check temps is to wet my finger with water and listen for the sizzle on the blocks. At 210f it will just sit there and at 215f, it will sizzle and boil off. I would also try smaller amounts...

This was just 2 26g wires twisted, I may try to wrap one wire around another soon (clapton type?) I'm new but the clapton wire pics look like they hold a ton of oil. I have tried an evil monk, and this rose v2. other than that I was retrofitting uptechs 1701 atty wih my coils.

Latest build. 2) 26g ti wires twisted together from post to post with one FC2000 wick in the middle My last build with dual separate coils/wicks, the ends of one coil started glowing when I had a lead loosen up and I accidentally over powered it when it jumped from Tc mode into power mode.

It's the right wattage and the tips "look" right to me as well as the different tips,. The 3 different temp memory setting, temp correction and auto shut off, all sound like nice features! Hope they fit! ;)
