    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I'm impressed with the batteries so far also, but I am concerned that my usage is different than the battery usage of my other vapes, and I'm hoping the FF batteries can take it. I am charging much more frequently than I do with my other vapes, and probably after shallower discharges(?). I have...

    Discontinued Pinnacle Pro

There's your problem :) When I had my PNP for only a few days I "pushed and held" the button to turn it on and nothing happened. I panicked! The I realized that it required a quick push with no "holding" to turn it on (just a "click" push is needed). It does sound like there are other problems...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I sent mine in first, I paid shipping. They checked it out, repaired it, and sent it back to me (same unit). They really turned it around fast, and customer service was excellent. My repaired unit works perfectly.

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

If you open a Firefly you will notice that the button on the outside is just a cover/activator for the real button on the circuit board. The last picture on p.81 shows the small white button that is activated by the external button "cover". If the button won't engage without careful attention...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

Agreed, that does not sound like combustion to me. I had that happen a lot (still do on occasion) when learning the optimal button press times for different strains. But as mitchgo61 said, actual combustion in the FF is unmistakable (IME). I had a steady stream of smoke pouring out of the...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

My gut tells me there is a design issue that is causing this to happen. Your unit started combusting for no particular reason, and mine did the same thing after a screen change. My bet is that some part or parts could be redesigned to prevent this from happening. Since I re-assembled my grey...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

Well you may be right, and perhaps I'm incorrectly conflating my combustion experience with the operating temperatures of the unit. It is possible that the coil position does affect temperature, but my combustion events were caused by misalignment of the components and not the temperature of the...

    Discontinued Pinnacle Pro

No problems with mine, and I don't do any of the above behaviors. I know we're really looking for a "disproving" experience (i.e. a damaged PonG without those behaviors), but the reason I chimed in is because I have always kind of felt that my PnP got too hot after a while, so I keep my...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I'm not convinced that is the case. I don't believe I affected a significant change in the coil's position when I manipulated it. I was "chicken" and barely moved it at all. I'm not sure it's the coil position that's making the difference. Of all the components in there the coil seems hardest...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I'm having a wild ride with my new Silver Firefly. I previously reported that my new silver unit was functioning exactly like my first dark grey unit. Eventually I started noticing that it was a tad warmer than the grey one. I also noticed that the gap between the glass bowl and the metal plate...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I just bought another FireFly (silver to complement my dark grey one), as well as an extra battery and external charger. It is nice having another charging option, especially one that is more stealthy than leaving a FireFly laying around plugged in :) I was hoping to compare performance...

    Arizer Solo

Maybe it's relevant to mention that I always turn my Solo off and take a looong last draw before removing the stem? Granted it is still "too hot to hold", but cooler than if it was pulled right from the oven? In any case I do feel better informed now, thanks again to members of this forum. :)

I have used the MFLB battery caps on my Solo stems right out of the oven from the start. I've never experienced any issues.

Most new owners identify the loose fit of the mouthpiece as a concern. I felt the same way when I got mine. In time this becomes much less of a concern - users who have had their unit a while don't seem to raise this issue much. I know it is no longer a great concern to me.

    Arizer Solo

IMO it doesn't. Opinions are what they are, but I prefer the taste experience from the Solo. I seem to get cooler vapor from the Solo, which allows me to appreciate the flavor better. That being said it is a VERY close call - one that I am willing to continue to test with both great vapes!

Everyone's technique is a little different it seems :) On my first hit I hold for 8 seconds before drawing, draw for 16 seconds, then release the button. On subsequent hits I hold for 5 seconds before drawing, draw for 8 seconds, then release the button. Towards the end of the bowl I increase...

Thanks for the suggestion. I examined my cover and if there was a larger gap on one side I couldn't see it. I went ahead and removed the screws, lifted the housing slightly, re-seated it firmly, and reinserted the screws (not too tight). Unfortunately there was no change in how the battery...

I find that a coarser grind adversely impacts extraction. I get fewer hits and less even browning. Medium to fine grind for me. I get thorough extraction without "working too hard" because I draw slow and steady. My battery cover slips off too easily...when I'm replacing the top cover...
