Nope. The newer units with slits never clog vs. the older ones with holes clogged (sometimes immediately). The slotted ones also clean out much easier.

Exact same experience here. Also, I have been using some very tasty & clean rosin, and the flavor has been spectacular those first 3-4 rips as well. Also playing with it on an istick 40w tc on VW mode. Don't do tc, as the 40w will toast that load immediately!

I think the primary benefit will be to milk out low temp dabs with pulsing control with minimal waste. It's also a nice little addition for someone who already has a big mod rather than adding yet another proprietary device to the rotation.

If my nail is freshly clean, I dab it on cold, and low temp dab it. If the nail is past due for a cleaning, I often use the second cycle, since taste isn't going to be primo anyway.

Been there and done that! Unfortunately, a nice hot glow at 16w is what it takes to get mine to the cleanliness I like. Thankfully, now that they can be found for $10-12, it's not that big of a deal.

Well, my greenlight labeled version heats for 20 seconds, and then remains green for 15 seconds and then off. Doesn't matter if it's the first or third straight hear cycle. My ir thermometer is dead, was hoping to see if the nail was still heating while green. My guess is that it is.

I think it's all purely time based. I don't think the unit has any temperature sensing at all.
