I've actually tried the Ascent (And both GoG adapters), and it has(IMO) performed perfectly. I am incorporating the glass flowers (2 on the top of the load). I've tried various flowers, full melt, and kief. I really haven't had any material suck thru. My unit never off-gassed. (1.1 I think)...

Guess I lucked out. All my glass flowers arrived in tact. I did an iso soak, and no color came off.

Trying out glass flowers. (which mysteriously arrived either late last night or early this morning, Glassflower fairy?) Like most have mentioned, they are smaller than I assumed. Definite improvement in vapor production and flavor. (Not that I was dissatisfied by any means to begin with)...

I looked in a craft store for glass beads and found nothing suitable. I saw a few packages that literally said "Warning may contain lead". Buyer beware.

Imo there's less odor than flowers(cannabis) alone. But I guess that depends on starting material. flowers=cannabis, glass flowers=glass flowers. (I'm waiting for some glass flowers, should be here in couple days) Unless the hash is made from same strain. But yes, mostly to keep the hash...

I'd much rather wait initially, than wait for a repair. Rather wait, than worry about cleaning out a unit for shipping. I'm as impatient as the next person (maybe a little more), but again, would rather wait longer to receive it functioning properly the first time.

Yes it will work for hash. Definitely grind it. I like the Ascent for hash (primarily why purchased). I wouldn't use the oil can. I'd place it between layers of flowers. I've tried both kief and full melt and both worked great.
