    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

Well, thanks for the hope, Moon... Though, my order was mid-June 2015, so, that'd be a real nice surprise to get a notice before the 30th. Y'all will hear about it!

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

Just stopped by to whine.... I'm supposed to get my hopper this month, but I have the feeling this will go by yet again, making this more than a year wait (June 2015). Then there'll be an email on July 1st from them with some "hey gang we're reeallly moving on production now! We got a new...

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

Vap, yeah, this June estimate is after several push-outs, including Sept '15 (if I understood your question...?)... My experience with Caroline isn't stellar, but I can sympathize with her having to deal with stoners' emails all day. My first email was answered in less than 12 hours. I'll...

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

Hey dudes and dudettes, FWIW, since I'm hoping to get my GH this month (June 2015 preorder), and had ordered an additional one about 3 months ago, I decided to email GHL to ask "Please advise....Will my orders still be shipping in June? Will both ship together? Will there be an extra battery...

Ethics, Karma and Grasshopper Warranty Discussion

I've come here from the Shipping Thread after discussion of doing some data mining to put together a spread sheet on Warranty issues.... So far, the last two pages seems to be a spitball fight on ethics, so I think I'll just tippy-toe back on out...

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

Many thanks to the mods! I think this could be very helpful to future potential buyers of GH, and possibly open up the possibility of a higher caliber of response from GH on issues. I think you covered the important factors, if I may paraphrase: 1) Date received (wonder if serial numbers are...

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

Organica, I'm a June 2015 preorder as well.... I am supposed to get my Ti GH this month as well. Carolyn has told me my GH would ship, oh, 7 times, over the year... I sincerely hope the cynic in me is proven dead wrong this month. :disgust:

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

Agreed... the percentage would be appropriate, since we don't know how many total sales they have per month (and I would hope that number increases).... I think the nature of the faults is important; it may help to correlate... The question is, how can we index the faults/issues? that is...

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

Mr. Me, that is an excellent idea. I think it would be very beneficial for everyone still waiting for their hoppers, including me (June 2015 preorder) to be able to gather some info on how many warranty issues are in play. And possibly to compile a sort of histogram of types of warranty issues...

Custom 3D printed Widgets - Delta 3D Studios

You say, "by a 1/4th", I assume you mean make it 25% shorter, and that would be just about right, IMO. The thing is to not have it SO short that the whole tool then rotates through the ring.

Custom 3D printed Widgets - Delta 3D Studios

Actually that CAD Lois pretty good. I don't think the scraper will get stuck; I'd say that it all depends on the ring. And you know, there may be a ring size that is problematic, but for the most part the radius of the scraper will either pass under the ring or simply not pass under it (& so...

Custom 3D printed Widgets - Delta 3D Studios

Thanks for the reply, Ratchet.... I have a few of your products, really like them! See, that's the thing... it's hard to figure that location out. If there's a hole for a key ring anywhere near the business ends of the tool, then that means there will be a key ring getting in the way. There...

Custom 3D printed Widgets - Delta 3D Studios

I like this little tool... When I got my first Pax 1 and 2, I made a tamp tool out of wood (still use it). Yours is obviously way better, nice look, too!... the only thing I hate about having to use these things is that they get misplaced... Not that I have a clue about what I would do...

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

You're fired up because you have good reason to be. I'd been going through the same thing until the big April Update when they cried mea culpa and let us all know that "this is the last time we'll keep dicking you around with push-outs..." (my paraphrase). So my April went to June; making this...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Fair enough. I'm keeping mine out of the rain.

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

It's not the outside, its the inside of the unit.... If water or moisture is allowed to seep in, it will corrode the non-stainless steel metals (electrical contacts) inside. I doubt very much they use gold for the contacts, probably nickel-plate at best.

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Rain is bad, m'kay? And, no, it wouldn't just "turn the unit on". It might, sure, but it will also CORRODE the unit over time. Rain is bad, m'kay?

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Yeah, I never tried the Mighty; The laws of coincidence drove me to the Pax 1; it came out a week after I did the Volcano. And I do love my Pax 2--- the draw sucks sometimes but it's a damn good reliable product. Frankly it's been so long since that Volcano experience that I just imagine that...
