Sorry to hear that Kermitt... For what it is worth, as I had just sent in a claim that just resulted in a new body delivery coming, I had another Ti hopper that I broke out for just this emergency... But... The second Ti, fresh out of the box, works horribly. The backend is warm, and it even...

Not sure if I was clear, but the symptom was blue-and-red flashing lights, like the video on the GHL site that shows the "Overheat" and "Sensor Overload" video. Even after the helpful suggestions by @Ratchett last night, which gave me a bit of a reprieve for a few sessions, it's back to the...

Yo!! It seems to have worked! So far, at least.... Threads were pristine, sure, and I didn't sense any grittiness on the Temp Dial. ButI futzed around a bit more like a maniac on the clicker and dial anyway. Gave it about 50 rapid clicks. There is a certain 'sense' you get from rotating...

Thanks, Mr.Me.... Yes I would think it's true not to change batteries while it's on... I guess that can happen if you forget to turn it off after you hit it. Which given the nature of what yer hitting, it can happen

OH, Maaaaaan... I just went to replace a battery and I got the flashing blues and reds. Began to screw down the fresh battery, and the hopper started blinking red before it even was half-way screwed down. Then the lights went off, and I clicked it on after tightening, and the blues/reds went...

Agree with @greenextinguisher - slow but not "weak" pulls.. Pulsing a little is OK, too. And it's gotta be DRY herb, at least for me. I've used some desiccant (like from a vitamin bottle) occasionally for a couple of days in some fresh flower to make it suitable to extract. These are kinda...

Well thanks for that data point! I suppose a perfectly conductive relatively safe and not greasy lubricant is a Holy Grail at this point. I'm not crazy about anything that has the word "grease" in it. Though I just tried the PG... sumbitch it works. It seems to. I had a flashing blue...

I just got my D4 today; just starting to use it. Gotta look into this "low" setting stuff... OK Thanks... I can't believe they are backordered on such a thing, yeah. Smells funny. Ah, Green, I see what I did there... I conflated your statement with @jabba's question about DetoxIT. Pardon...

OK, NewV... Does the battery register in the charger?? Wait, What? You got a leather sleeve?? Did they start shipping them? I'm still waiting for the one(s) that was supposed to have shipped with my hopper last month.

If I wasn't clear enough: The "threads" I am talking about are the BODY threads, not the mouthpiece threads. There's no reason to put anything on the mouthpiece threads, as there is no battery current making its way through them to complete the circuit (the hopper will operate without the...

Understood.... I got my "dead" battery from GHL and they immediately sent a new one and told me to "discard" the "dead" one. I just couldn't just not use a perfectly good battery. It was easy enough, just have to have a very sharp pointy razor-knife to trim a bit of it away. I posted a pic of...

Compare the back contacts on the batteries. Notice if the blue "circle" around the contact is smaller on the "dead" battery. Use an Exacto blade to carefully remove excess blue sheathing. Happened with one of my batteries.

There are so many variants of these products that it's easy to make a choice and then think again... These types of applicators work best for me because I can be sloppy and like tiny amounts to mete out. Thanks for posting the instructions you have for it. I'm thinking each different...

Hmmm... Well their website and their tech support who I've just spoken with say the D is to be wiped off, and even after "overnight" if oxidation is heavy". The G is to be left on. They just called me on my cell rather than answered my email: They said DetoxIT D is OK to use often. They...

Again, sorry to hear when this happens; but I'm REALLY glad know everyone with issues like this are being taken care of. I just dropped by hopper from about 4 feet to a wooden floor, the fall of which was only broken by a chair-leg crossarm. It turned itself on. But I cannot believe the force...

I've been enjoying the hopper, still fighting myself on the best way(s) to use it, but bottom line is, the healthier (cooler backend) you keep it, the better it is. I believe that I'd wiped off the application of DetoxIT-D too soon (as in, "immediately"). They recommend a little wait-time after...

Kerm, start around page 439 and work your way a couple of pages. Basically it's the threads at the backend as well as the contacts, yes, but the threads are going to be primary due to the nature of contact. I can only say that my inputs are suggestions that seem to work well for me, so far.

Yeah man, DetoxIT is a clear winner. I've taken to using a little toothbrush after applying a drop on the threads to get it really well-spread since I use so little. Like @kingfisher said, same here. I've actually bought a 4x charger to replace my dual one because I don't want to run high-duty...

That's great, Jabba! I have been using DetoxIT (Gold now that I've learned "D" is for restorative rather than maintenance - or at least the first application) for about a week now, and two days ago I felt the need to apply the Gold for the first time since doing the first "D" clean. I'd be...

Isn't dielectric grease, well, greasy? The is like DetoxIT, except the function of DetoxIT Gold is to molecularly fill in "holes" in metal. While the grease may have a positive effect that may last longer, I think DetoxIT does the same thing with less mess. @kingfisher you are so right...
