I don't share the same experience. For me it depends on strain used. It could be you heating too hot or too long, or just some nice oil kicking your ass :P

Is that rosin? Definitely press each bud several times. Keep pressing until you get ZERO return. Its worth the extra effort to really get it all out. I've had 2nd presses yield more than the first, and some very impressive 3rd and 4th presses as well.

You can't possibly press too hard imo. You can definitely press too long and kill terps.

That will decarb the oil. Flavor and terps will be gone. I've seen testing on rosin that showed I believe it was 8% terps which is crazy high IMO. If you are making edible oil I'd consider going with vapor distillation, but not to make something to dab.

You absolutely can get good results without a screen. Just put the stuff with particles of bud in its own dab and top on a herb bowl or something. Save the clean oil with clean oil. I get fully melting clean rosin without a screen. Kief or dry sift I'd definitely want a stainless steel...

I was into the persei and stuff but I found myself always throwing money at the latest and greatest trying to recreate the cera experience. I had to rebuild it basically every use too for some reason. It was close, but not the same to me. Someone needs to fill the gap.
