good question! What I do is put the main shim on the heater and the smaller one has a taper. Place the small taper end up and gently slide the cover on while holding the spacers together. It's tricky and always take a bit or trial and error. But never force it.........

well the mini wand should still work with the gg heater cover. I have a silver surfer with the standard and gg heater cover. I just check to see if the mini wand will fit. Well it doesn't fit inside the gg cover but does fit flush and see no reason why it won't work.

What is your voltage at the outlet? I think it's 220 in Europe and they send you one that works on 110 volts. Maybe a step down transformer or send it back for one rated at 220 voltes.

I have an ice chamber from the seventh floor and works great! The one I have uses a down stem and looks like the newer ones don't. You can get a bong and a down stem which would be a lot cheaper. Plus the ice chamber filters out any thing that gets pass the screen.:2c:

I have the mini whip from vapor brothers and works great with the standard heater cover. The screen size is the same for the silver surfer wand just doesn't have a taper like the silver surfer wand does. So over all the bowel is much smaller. For 10.00 why not?:2c:

I have a gg wand which is a year old and doesn't have the hour glass design either. I use a ice chiller what ever gets pass the screen ends up in the water.

If you have volt meter test the potentiometer and heater. I understand its a new unit, but having to pay for shipping! Ask them to throw in some extra goodies to off set the shipping.

sounds like a loose wire inside. The wires have slip on connectors and may have just came off. I would take the the screws off the base and take a look. See what the seventh floor has say. Not much to go wrong beside the switch , but if it sputters sure sounds like a loose connection.

I.M.O Doesn't look to user friendly. You will need a hand to hold the wand and where the tube hooks up will come out. Also looks like it will tip over with the long stem on the back side.:2c:

The heating element is ok to touch the heating cover, I had the same question and called the 7th floor and said it would be just fine and don't worrry about it. That was last year and no problems.
