The different button is the upgraded v4. It takes care of faulty buttons found on some v4's. Much nicer look and feel than the original plastic button. Nice job @THC SCIENTIFIC

Get the V5. Order the AC top with the v5 battery. Costs less than the v4 and is a better battery.

Sounds like technique is the trouble for the most part. Even a cheap pen shouldn't taste that bad if you pulse the button and don't let it get too hot. No, it won't taste great but should be tolerable. I have used many of them from the cheap glass globe atomizers all the way up to the uptech...

I too was assuming v2 seeing we are in the Omicron thread. Now I see the problem. The solid pin will not allow the coil to thread fully into the base causing a loose connection. The spring loaded pin looks like the proper solution to me as well.

Screw the coil into the base tight. The coil should not be loose enough to wiggle at all when it is threaded into the base.

I just caught this...... you said you push down on the coil and sometimes it works. Are you pushing on the chrome coil housing or the coil inside the cup?
