It is natural that the bottom bowl may have slightly different air flow than the top bowl since the air path is longer. Performance perspective, there should not be any difference between the two.

I never had experience with Persei but with Haze, you cannot go wrong. Everything that are needed are already on the unit or included.

Stirring makes my session last way longer in my opinion. The baking is uniform but when I stir (especially when I mix dry herb with wax), it makes it last longer.

I sometimes do what you described but at setting 4. It works very well with dry herb but when I use wax, I put it in at the beginning since it evenly distributes inside the can. Both options provide awesome results though.
