Hmm... I drop my extract directly on the quartz dish, using the storm cap. In no way is there any contact with the titanium, apart from the air path. I also have quartz bangers for my enail and I personally cannot detect any significant difference in taste.

The SiC inserts have not shipped yet... Quartz insert is really sweet as is though...
