I think for a lot of people that funded them and even for the pre-orders this was figured into the value proposition. I would feel zero regret for using the lifetime warranty at any time.

I am not sure you are right about that. If there is some mistake in manufacturing that effects the 2 or 3 thousand units they have ready to go then the strain of the delay and/or the expense of producing new parts could easily bankrupt them.

I just fill it right above the lines for air. You have to hold it straight up and down but I don't ever get water doing it that way.

Have it and use it all the time with my quickdraw 300, it is amazing! thick glass, only holds a bit of water but is really portable for taking with you.

I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. I found the FF too heavy, an odd shape for a portable and way too expensive. But again, it is all about priorities, for me taste was not number one for a portable.

This for sure, especially for a unit that has had troubles. My friend got one and I was shocked at how heavy it is, glad I passed.
