MSRP has been fixed for a while. Shipping is shipping. From what some of our EU friends have been saying, the customs valuation is low, so there is little impact there. TorrontoVape, IIRC, will be distributing, which will further minimize at least 66% of those factors. But you buy those...

One of the important issues here is to fill the bowl, be it glass flower or flower. If you use a little of either, use a lot of the other. :) I've now done MANY @lwien tests, and always toss in a LOT of glass flowers. (I now have 50 of them as I know I'm going to break/lose them over time.)...

    The Herbalizer

Some cats just want to watch the world burn.... or at least fall from the nightstand. :) Although I didn't try dropping any, I did get to take a look at about 10 units in various stages of disassembly. It is very well put together, and I don't see an area of concern, but I can ask...

You are correct, however you leave out the fact that you are basically replacing some of the air with glass which will assist with thermal recovery. (If one fills to the top, which is recommended.) So, more like three reasons... Probably another benefit or two I'm forgetting about, but I think...

I think the stems down help a bit distributing the heat through the product, but, in all honesty, one of the main reasons I was recommending that, is when I didn't do stems down, I invariably wound up breaking a stem or two when I opened back up the oven.

Wasn't your post. I recall your post.

    The Herbalizer

I wanted to correct something I said earlier. I got to take a look at the guts on the Herbalizer, and the bulb is different from what I thought. (What I had in my head was what I think was one of @vtac's photos of a bulb from a DIFFERENT vape.) The bulb is still NOT user serviceable (but should...

Vape temps, vape signatures, terps, etc.

Just to clarify: While my process might capture more, that is not the intent. (Well, it *was* the intent to capture all of the flavor.) Rather it is a PROCESS that I enjoy. It is the "journey is it's own reward" kind of a thing. I savor each of the temp step. But, @lwien, probably what was...

Vape temps, vape signatures, terps, etc.

But it's not just the flavors. I've seen a study referenced*, where subjects were given 100% THC and another group were given a 50% solution, but with terps added back in. The subjects in the latter group reported a much more pronounced effect than those in the former. This is indicative of a...

No. I meant curing as in concrete. That's specifically why I say concrete. It's not secondary "oil and grease used in shipping" (Wait... exactly *HOW* do you ship things? When I walk into the FedEx office all oiled up, they always ask me immediately to leave. Or, in all fairness, maybe that has...

There is a lot to read between the 360+ pages between all of the Ascent threads, but everything you question has been addressed in the last few weeks. 1. The silicone is going through addition curing in the factory. Like concrete, silicone has a progression of curing. (BTW: Medical grade...

Great! I'd suggest filling the bowl with glass flowers. (More glass, less air) I put a layer of flowers on the bottom. I honestly don't have an opinion here, other than that's what I started doing. Maybe it's better not doing that? Again, dynamics most likely are different for a load that...

Uh... you have heard of FC, right? :p It was stated elsewhere that the people responsible for the FB stuff are gone. But still, why on Earth would people go there for "information" when we have much better INFORMATION here? I fail to see how this is a concern. Because of their complex shape...

:) I thought you might find a bit more. Well... dumping out the ABV and reloading it, is kinda stirring it. I did note that when I was first experimenting, I was compressing the heck out of the product, and stirring did seem to help. But I think that was because I was packing too hard...

Fair enough, my friend. Fair enough. To me, it is both. [EDIT: I do *love* a good single-malt (as long as it is not too "Peat-y". Even worse if it is "Pete-y".) I keep saying "cognac" as a $fineDrink, but truth be told, end of a exceptional meal, with a complex 30+ year Tawny Port, is the...

@lwien -- new idea! Instead of focusing on the number of draws (which, obviously be affected by device and other variables), why not say F! that and just focus on amount of product (which you know already)? Instead of two days worth, put *ONE* days worth in there for comparison. And instead of...

Well, I did EXPLICITLY point out it was a GROSS over-simplification, and I did NOT mention a specific component (there are MANY that people want to extract, and certainly NOT THC all by itself [Studies have demonstrated that a combination of terpenoids with a 50% solution of THC has a...

I'll get it at higher temps, but I almost never go above 392°F unless I'm testing something. I don't like the taste, so that's one of the reasons I don't go there.

@lwien -- Nice review. Kept actually checking back in last night, eagerly awaiting your thoughts. So... uh... loosing track of time and space and being "so fucked up" are not to "where you wanted to be"? Exactly how many dimensions *are* you targeting to loose track of?!? Keep in...

Air flows in from center of the bowl. Can't flow directly up because of oil can, so it flows sideways THROUGH your thin layer of product. Then it hits the walls, and travels up in the gap between the bowl walls and the oil can. So, not only you got the thermal mass of the oil can in play, it...
