Just putting the ELB cap, flat, on a table and gently pressing down evenly, the cap will squish-outward a little bit and fit tightly in the ELB. Pretty sure read this many pages ago, so credit there, but it works :) The ELB's (not really the caps though) do wear out over time, mostly cracks...
