Someone should try an atlas, with a m to f adapter, and a EZLoad bowl to find out if it could replicate (or my guess is surpass) the Evo experience, i.e. with an upright heated joint. Would the stand hold the atlas in this manner firmly enough to put a hydrotube on top?

Is the top plate of the vape now not made of aluminium? I mean it doesn't worry me because it's certainly not getting hot enough to offgas, but strictly speaking the top plate is still in the airpath.

With my eq, I would also suggest a natural heat soak of 10 mins plus. You can speed this up by using max temp, and if you heat soak the bowl with the fan on that can help reduce waiting time even more. It's still more hassle than being prepared though.

It's a shame, in a way, that no-one us in this thread has a Chinamight to inspect for the differences. As @Abysmal Vapor hinted at, I don't think board colour is something that necessarily remains constant no matter who the manufacturer is, but maybe there is a pattern I haven't considered.

That's a good point! Do you know if there is a way to tell a fake from an older (not with a serial number) original? I can't remember reading about that it there is a way.

Well, I don't believe it's worth worrying about anyway. I'm sure the details of the new boards are more refined, but I don't think it makes much difference to the end user, especially when you consider the device has a 10 year warranty.

You can remove the bottom plate and inspect the board, if the board has a serial number you've got the latest revision.

Buuut, there is an exception, you could have sent your early version TM for a service and they updated the board. In that case the serial number will only be on the board as far as I understand it!

There are only 2 models. The original TM that went through design changes along the way, and the new TM 2. The latter versions of TM have never been officially designated 1.5, just by the community, and I always thought that could confuse people. If buying second hand just find out when it was...
