Finally ordered a full Lotus kit this morning from Mendocino Therapeutics. It seemed that all the other retailers were out of stock (except ezvapes has the turquoise version). Can anybody in the US who ordered from Mendocino tell me how long it took you to get to your order? I'm pumped!!!

No, sadly it is still not working. Kept it in rice for 3 days. Actually the unit operates perfectly right now besides one thing, there is no heat. All lights and beeps still work though. I don't think buying a new battery will fix the heater, so I've decided to get a Lotus for a little change...

This probably won't help you in your current situation, but I usually keep some kief in the bottom of my grinder for desperate times. I'll just take a t-break if all I can find is schwag, but if I have some lower quality nugs then I usually mix some kief in to help potentiate the effects.

Some desktop vapes are more efficient and do create bigger vapor clouds, but the solo is no slouch when it comes to vapor production. Also you're getting the convenience of not being tied to an outlet. I don't think you will be disappointed. The solo gets me medicated every single time I use it...
