The CCA flat coil liger's bucket is like over 30mm, more like 40mm-45mm. The insert is 30mm but you arent capping the insert.

I have the all of the 30mm inserts and the quartz is my least favorite insert for the 30mm flat liger. I havent touched my 30mm SiC in the longest time but i do use my obsidian and like the taste of the obsidian over quartz. I never cared to do a taste comparison for between sic and obsidian.
