Thanks, good to know! Yeah I just need to find a way to secure the retaining ring, mine keeps popping off from heat expansion.. any ideas? I've tried constricting it with another ring on top, but it wasn't easy, and doesn't sit well :\

Cedar, I used to carve my pipes out of maple though, which I find to be much better haha I'm not too knowledgable on types of wood aside from density sadly.. I'm a bit more of a metallurgist/welder- so excuse any ineptitude haha

Has anyone made a wooden stem/mp mod yet? I'm thinking about mutilating my MP and basically just having a slightly tapered solo/log kind of tube snugged in with a little collar for the screen or something.. I'll post results as soon as I get my ass up for it haha

Yeah just putting that tiny glass tube in between the pong and my face surprisingly made the vapor like 2x easier on the throat- no more heat buildup in your sensitive airways :D Just make sure you do it with hi-temp Silicon (silicone?) I actually used the little cap between the coil/wick and...

That, is sick. So I just put this together over the last maybe 20min- I don't know why, but it's AMAZING at taming the vapor. And for some reason it's easier to tell when I'm getting good quality vapor too :shrug: Ah, well :spliff: edit: So... I just made it like 10x more awesome:

Yep, a decent dab can get like 4 or 5 hits on heat 5 in the FMJ. As for the alcohash; make sure it's at least pretty good quality, and it melts completely, though the objective is to sublimate/evaporate it entirely like a nail+dome at half the temp- just kept at heat instead of torched :mmmm:
