At last THE Vapman is in the house! @Seren and the others beat me to it. There is nothing I can add, but I have to say THANK YOU for inventing this awesome little device! I can't wait to see everyone here pick your brain so I can learn more about the Vapman. I'm curious... After a good...

Que That spoon method is interesting. I keep my ground herb in a small pill bottle-like container and then use a short bamboo skewer as a spoon to drag the stuff out and into the Bowl (with the ring). I can even do a one-handed deal where I hold the Vapman in my left palm and the container...

Cool. That's exactly how I do it too. Push on the edge of the ring so it lifts up and then grab it easily with the other hand.

I agree 100% I thought that I was getting more vapor after plugging all three holes, but it was really just the fact that I had just gotten the hang of the technique. I then unplugged all the holes and got the same big vapor clouds as with them plugged - and the Vapman ran much cooler too...

Right! I did that to a copper screen and burnt a hole right through it. :( I'll have to remember that when I get a real screen.

I'm interested in how the screen will work with waxes (and herb) . Does the black stuff stick to the screen? Would it make it hard to get the wax or whatever off the screen? I don't know yet how Vapman will sell the screens - will they be cheap and disposable? Or come in sets of 3 to 5? I...

I agree! This thing is soooooo frugal with the herb it's incredible!

I just remembered another thing: One thing that tipped the scale towards the Vapman for me was the fact that you have to torch the Lotus as you draw. I really like the way you torch the Vapman and then draw afterwards. This ritual is much more natural on the Vapman, in my opinion.

That comparison is really helpful to me. I had a hard time choosing between the Lotus and the Vapman. I went with the Vapman and never looked back, but this tells me that the Vapman is the better choice for me. I always thought that the ritual of the Vapman is better for me than the Lotus...

Mine ends up about the same color of Steama's - sometimes a bit darker, sometimes a bit lighter. I don't mind the burnt taste that much. I want to get the most out of it ;)

Looks very similar to mine. Thanks for posting the pic. And so as to not double post: Steama, I also get every little bit I can. I do two more draws after the 1st burnt taste. There's nothing left after I'm done with it. ;)

That's what she said! Hahahaaa I think it's just wiping it right after I'm done with a session, before the sticky stuff has a chance to grab hold. I literally clean it right when I'm done, before it even cools off.

I think you mis-understood me. I didn't sand the Golden bowl at all. I sanded the metal filter at the base of the mouthpiece and the inside of the wooden ring around the gold bowl. In the future, I may sand the inside of the Bowl if it gets too cruddy. But it still looks good enough. I asked...

OK, I agree that Acetone is the better choice for soaking and cleaning your Vapman. I would still use caution on any finished surface when using both Acetone and Alcohol though. OF's remarks on water content make sense. The 70% and 90% on the alcohol means alcohol to water content (90% alcohol...

Steama, I did a bit of research on the alcohol vs acetone wood cleaning methods. Turns out that alcohol will ruin any finish on any wood surface and there are many reports of people ruining tabletops and other furniture's finish. Now... on un-finished wood, it will not harm wood at all and...

Ok, I had a screen laying around and went for it. I poked it with a bamboo skewer and shaped it like a bowl with my fingers. It was larger than the Bowl so I had to cut it to make it fit. I will test it later and report back here. I will sacrifice myself for science's sake!

Hey U, I want to try this. Can you post a pic of your screen both in the Bowl and by itself? I was planning on ordering one from Vapman later on, but I was only thinking about oils and wax. I hadn't thought about using it with her but after reading your post, it sounds like a great...
