Yes. Smoke from the wood stops after some use. You can char it on purpose around the bow from the bottom and the top but don't over do it. Don't let the torch stay in one place -- keep iit moving. Heat it, but don't let it catch on fire. If you see flame, blow on it quickly. Hope this helps.

Hey ladies and gents, I know some of us here are pretty hardcore Vapman fans, and I was talking with a friend of mine about vapes and I found that I was having a hard time explaining why I choose a butane powered Vape over a battery (Lights, bells and whistles) kind of vape. One great reason...

I've never been a cloud chaser either, but can @OF or someone explain to me how the longer stems help produce more vapor? It will help me understand it and also justify my getting one from Ed! ;)

But it's not really like that. I'm definitely not a clean freak -- just ask my wife - this is her::rant: On my new Vapman, I have never had to do any deep cleaning. I just wipe it off with a tissue at session end and it has kept looking like new. I never have anything stuck to that one at all...

OK, I wanted to show what an old 1.5+ year old Vapman can look like. This is my first Vapman - the one I recently got Laser Engraved. I sanded the inside of the bowl because I combusted a couple of times and I had not learned to clean my bowl right after each session (while still warm)... It's...

Cool. I'm going by a 3-D image in my head of Ed's mouthpiece which I then compare to Vapman's, so it may be a moot point. I didn't want to let Ed know, just in case.

Awesome! Can't wait to see what you come up with. This is like waiting for X-Mas!

Hey @Ed's TnT, I was giving your new mouthpiece some thought and I wanted to point something out just in case. Like I said before, Vapman's standard mouthpiece is tapered (thinner at the tip that does into the wooden middle section). If that hole gets wider from use, the mouthpiece will...

OK. Back story is in order here: That expression came from an old Metal-head (super sexy and very sexually open-minded ex-girlfriend in college) who hated lead guitarists that held the pick only between the thumb and index finger with the other three finger sticking out - as if making an OK...

Thanks for the info! I was very shocked to see that center nipple which used to be a pin, because as you all know by now, my original Vapman is at least 1.5 years old and the center pin looks fine. (I've posted many pics here). In fact, I sent it to laser engrave recently, which I would not...

OK, now I'm blushing. (I can't find a blushing smiley?) I agree with Mr Mellish, that this coming from Master Steama is big. :o But yes. Since I started using that technique, there is definitely no need for toothpicks or gimmicks. It feels very easy and natural too. But, I found this...

@goetzamuel, Wow, that really is a worn down pin. All that's left is a little nipple! I've never seen that before. I wonder if René has? How old is that Vapman?

The middle portion fits into a 14 mm glass female joint. It may mark the wood a bit after a few times, but if you search this thread, you'll find a few other ways to adapt it. I think the series one is Ed's new mouthpiece.

Yes. My MFLB was never as efficient as the Vapman - not even close. It used much more material (about 3 times as much, at least) and the effects I got were not even close to the Vapman's. Add to that the hassle of looking after batteries all the time, and the MFLB became a gift to a friend...

Awesome. I'm sure you'll get a ton of good input from a bunch of smart guys here. Can't wait to see this piece evolve. I just thought of something... I had thought about this before but had never asked René: why did he make the middle part and the mouthpiece separate? Looking at your...

Ah crap... That thing is beautiful! I'm going to have to order me one of those! What wood is that? Awesome work @Ed's TnT! How much $? One question Ed: the part of the Vapman original mouthpiece that fits into the wooden middle part is tapered. Is that straight in yours? The good thing...

Holy crap that was awesome! Hahaha! See what I mean? You can see the magic doing its thing there! Wow man, I gotta get me one of those magic-sensing cameras! Thanks for posting that @Stu.
