the heat retention is there but vapor production does not have the flavor from ss vs ti imo

The 7 fin, the bigger mass of ti, retains heat, makes it hit better, don't really know exactly why, but I can tell when I go to discharge the cap it's hotter then my 4 other ti tips. No real analytics other then that lol

I didn't think the 7fin ti were gonna be a major difference vs the reg ti tips, but I just got one and it's a huge difference in how much longer the heat is retained

and they should be, its so much better, Pipes followed suit this year in July, changing it to a a switch that has a 3d printed base instead of a drop in unit (apllo2 launched with this originally)

When I had my apollo2 the pressure it took to activate that ball switch was like 1/4 of the caldron, to remedy this I just use a piece of cork, also I think pipes may sell his silicon insert that he has started to use as well

Yes that may work for you but may not work for others, I own Pipes Caldron and would have gotten a PSM, but the battery capacity is too small for me and would require 2-3 charges just to get through the day.

I believe a clicking noise resonates even harder in a metal enclosure versus a plastic one, if they haven't announced anything about the battery replacement, its probably a one and done like every other electrical product you buy until you diy.

I hope you thoroughly cleaned it prior to use, possibly some residue leftover effecting taste? Usually nasty taste is when you combust and your vapor production is super thick like. So what your describing is something else imo

yea ive had 2020m where it felt like you needed to put it in a vise to remove the tip, and others just simple twist and remove, nice collection @shopdognyc do you know of when they changed the cap design, now the cap's poker is more tapered, before it was just a straight u cutout no?

    Dynavap VapCap

from what I have seen and had in my own hands, the dynavap qc is lacking, ive had tips ss/ti fit in a few stems then and not in others. If you search enough, i would say there are a few posts throughout the month about their bb9 breaking from insert/removal of tip for cleaning ddavemod knows...

mine is not from the activation switch, this is the same cap, you can see the activation indent that I have already solved by using cork within the 1st or 2nd week of using the caldron also pictured is a 3rd cap that only has the indent from the caldron (again already have a band aid in) but...
