Naturally Decarbed Concentrates - Best Yet

@Grow Goddess , I also have found the oil to have an incredible shelf life. And I have already been finding the process of ND to be bearing itself out - I have some unfinished (I *had* originally taken it to low 200s in a 210F hot water bath when I cooked off the Everclear, but that's what I...

@amberevil , My apologies for "getting" from this thread without "giving" back to your original requests for comments about your process! I *did* want to mention that 30 min at 250F seems right in line with the time from the chart that skunk pharm uses ...

Got it, I appreciate that! So, more like: http://www.bestvaluevacs.com/3qpyrexkit.html ? Or am I still missing something on the top of the chamber? (My eyes are too inexperienced to see if that is the case) Pic Won't make you nuts with too many more questions until I get myself up to speed...

No sweat at all, killick! I am probably going to start with something like this original line you referenced, which seems to be more correct for our needs here: - Peace! (I edited the crap out of this - realized I was way off - sorry!) And @DieHard , you mentioned a cold process of some...

    Iso extraction canna caps

Okay @amberevil , not to blow smoke, but I checked out bestvaluevacs.com and I am so happy I think I'm going to pee myself. WAYYYYY beyond just this current project (and I SWEAR I am working on this little sidetrack in order to swing back around into your original thread purpose - I need more...

    Iso extraction canna caps

Sorry, pancreas gremlins are kicking my behind this weekend. I'll be a bit slow for a few days. I was referring to that big rectangular Pyrex - I don't have any kind of vacuum assist, but I love Pyrex in general. It's awesome (your dish)! If you ever feel so inclined, I am interested in adding...

I concur on the coffee filter. I use grade 90 cheesecloth, both to make a "tea bag" for the starting material and to strain my mash into its finishing container for an oil bath. Peace!

I will definitely have to look up the soy - it may be that I need to replace some of my coconut oil with it. And my apologies - I do forget that I use oil sublingually so that *most* of what I am getting isn't through digestion. But it is also one of the reasons I am looking at your canna-cap...

    Iso extraction canna caps

@amberevil , You absolutely have my attention! Awesome! I use about the same ratio (1g finished RSO to 3-4g coconut oil) with some different other additions (skunk pharm's "Holy Anointing Oil" recipe, with my own ratios). The soy lecithin - does it mix well? And what did you add it for -...

    Rosin Technique....Easy DIY Solventless

I was thinking that as well - I don't know what the machine looks like, but how about a piece of sheet metal (i.e. - duct work)? Seems that it would give if needed, but stay stiff enough to just "bop on top" of the piece you are trying to cover. Might need some oven mitts if the piece were...

    Rosin Technique....Easy DIY Solventless

Looks like plenty-good out loud thinking to ME, @Joel W. . Your post shook something loose in my thinking, so I am going to take some time before my next post. I need to go try and understand pressure, how it is created in different ways and why, etc. I hope to post back here on this thread...

    Rosin Technique....Easy DIY Solventless

I have actually been thinking along those lines as well, in a way. Using pressure though (like a vacuum chamber with a temp probe), but that is so not "DIY" or "Easy", and I was actually looking at it as part of my never-ending fixation on understanding heat at various parts of various processes...

    Rosin Technique....Easy DIY Solventless

I waited as long as I could, @farscaper ... I can't resist it any longer! (Clearing throat...) Let me get this straight. So I left my fondue pot and kitchen... To move to the laundry room with an iron... But now I am back to a giant panini press in the kitchen... Seriously though...

    Rosin Technique....Easy DIY Solventless

See? You folks have it DOWN. Might want to pick your brain on that, will find a post by you on an appropriate thread (your posts are great btw). But I admit, it was this thread that had my favorite words "Easy" and "DIY". My dirty little secret is... I have only used RSO sublingually and...

    Rosin Technique....Easy DIY Solventless

Ha! Yes. Simple homemade RSO guy, so where do you think my setup is...? My fondue pot for oil baths is out regularly on the counter (cleaned of course) and people have commented that we must be BIG fondue lovers... Thanks for this thread, by the way. I am a John Barleycorn lover, but...

Me too - used to use deeply shaved orange peels (to get some of the juicy white part, but not down to the orange itself) - about 6 strips per 1/2 zip or so. I use the Bovida 62s when jar curing, but had never considered trying them in a case like this. I'll give it a whirl next time I need it...

    Concentrates for Noobs - Q&A

Well, since I was the biggest derail-ER...let me see if I can act my age for a change! I need some help from folks who know the concentrates better than I - I have only RSO in my arsenal for experience, and I looked extensively through some posts but got very confused. I want to run a test of...

Chronic pain : CBD or THC or both?

A quick FYI with *no* snyde remark intended - that link from @bkpnsux so *very* much answered that question. It was an excellent article. Like, here's a quote from it you could take to your doc: "A 2013 clinical trial reported that both inhaled cannabis and oral THC significantly decreased...

Safe Concentrates 101 - ALPHA EDITION

@herbivore21 , I have found this to be strangely true myself. I feel better seeing someone else say it though! I used to think dark meant more impurities (I think it *did* mean that when I first started making it). Now it's dark, but golden if thin enough to see through (like in a stainless...
