To add to FMG's reply, You really need to leave it on fairly high power for a while (such as 3 o clock for 30-60 minutes) before it even starts getting hot. Also, a quick 5 minute or so shut down gets it back to room temperature, so if you can handle a 5 minute break every 30-60 minutes you can...
