I just had the red/blue flashing llights. Blowing into the air holes has helped.

Try twisting the on-switch clicker 90-degrees and giving it a few clicks

Yesterday, my Hopper turn immediately from red to blue, without getting temperature. After 10 Minutes the Hopper worked right again. I hope it was a one time thing :-(
