    TUBO evic/dual

Excellent workmanship! Curious though, how do you tap into the evic's output? Via the 510 connector or do you drill and tap on directly?

It was "DYNAVAPE" last night. Was on the initial page you go to. Maybe refresh the page?

Take the ring off and clean the groove as well. You can also roll the inside of the ring to the outside to give new surface area for the stem to rub against. Other then that, the ring is stretched too much and needs replacing. You might still be able to nurse it into place.

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Just a temporary solution. The FETs are on order. Needed so a low current trigger switch can be used. Such like a tensile switch or other detector device. Work in progress at this point. Has come quite far considering the concept is like a day or two old....lol If just a detector switch is used...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Not fast enough @KeroZen, lol. Or me too quick? Just ordered the switches. Now for some delay circuit addon....:hmm: Will decide over the wait if needed. Being thinking about that. Really want to keep everything attached to the lid. If a hole can be drilled or made, one could still just poke...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Got it nailed!!! Except for the switch, which I have a good idea but have to find what I'm thinking about. Will end up being a China solution no doubt. Looking for a MosFet solution already pre mounted on small board. Seems to be lots with Arduino stuff. So will be a month or two before this...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I suppose you could alter it some but it fits the glass tubing as is. Not 100% but suspect you don't want to change the inductance too much as it is a tuned circuit. Now the placement in reference to the driver board can be easily changed. Example will be to have it fit into a mug. The coil...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Good question Stu. Being a while. I was highly doubtful the OG was going to work. Generally, good SS is not magnetic, unless intentional. Is the Ti tip magnetic? A good clue as to iron content. Found the OG to be very magnetic which makes sense as the iron content holds heat the best.

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

How about a stainless steel or porcelain traveller's coffee mug enclosure. I think that is doable and solves where to put it in the car. :brow:

VapCap 510 Heater Build (Based on "The Project")

I have been testing and seems to work but shorting does occur and you have to move the VC when it happens. Had to insulate to top of positive bolt as well. It was causing real havoc. Looking more like an inside insulator is needed. Looking into mica somehow. Still a Work In Progress On the...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Hey Guys. This is for those who have wondered about the plausibility of using induction for their VapCap. The answer is, yes it works excellent. Surprised me as there seems to hardly have enough mass, but seems not an issue at all. I used the cheapest induction heater I could find. Driving it...

    The "Project" DIY Herbal Vaporizer

It started with nickel in the beginning. As the technology improved, other metals with lower temperature coefficients were added into the mix. The last one being stainless steel, which is what we are currently using with good results. Newer mods also have whats called TCR mode, which allows the...

VapCap 510 Heater Build (Based on "The Project")

No worries, going to confirm if conduction is possible. Honestly though, I have my doubts, Stainless steal doesn't have much magnetic characteristics. Induction needs iron properties and some mass. Both not high with the VC. If there is any success, a home station has my interest. I already...

VapCap 510 Heater Build (Based on "The Project")

I'm glad there seems to be much interest for such a device. Stuff ordered last weekend: -VC ordered and should get it tomorrow if goes well at customs. -20 AWG Kanthal ordered and will like be a few weeks. In the meantime, I have some 23 AWG to play with. -.8mm X 3mm flat SS 316 wire ordered...

    The "Project" DIY Herbal Vaporizer

You have a bad resistance read. If the mod thinks it's .68 ohm it definitely will run a muck. The reason the mod is jumping into power mode is because in the algorithm, the device gives it "x" amount of time to reach "y" temperature. If this parameter is not met, it kicks into power mode at 20...

    The "Project" DIY Herbal Vaporizer

You should see an initial glow for the 1st second or so, which is the overshoot, coming up from cold. After that a faint pulsing glow. This will differ from firmware versions and initial resistance read. Which don't forget to lock it in. Even a difference of .01 ohm effects the calibration...

    The "Project" DIY Herbal Vaporizer

Preheat is only valid for power mode. If you have the customized myevic firmware loaded, the TC setting are in Argo (algorithms) menu . However, don't play in there until you get use to the preset values. Gets confusing quickly and so far I have not found any benefits for us.

    The "Project" DIY Herbal Vaporizer

Yes, you can crank up the watts. It only uses to get the temp up fast and the TC cuts it when temp is reached. 20 watts would not give it enough power to reach the desired temp.

Oh @PPN, what are we going to do with you. I believe you fall into the number 2 of this post. "Setting mishap." This type of occurrence really enforces my belief that we should dedicate a mod to the Project as wrong settings can cause damage very quickly. These mods have tons of power and if the...
