VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I'll put together a FAQ doc once things come together a bit more. Similar to the FAQ for the Eraser in one of my signature links. The Skeletor measures 64 x 64 x 78mm height. Smallest arrangement. Portside 100 x 50 x 100 height. Kit is separate pieces to be arranged by owner in their custom...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Sorry, no good. That is not a charger but a 2 amp supply, and the cut off voltage is very specific for 3 cell Lithium packs. I found the pack charges in only a couple hours at 1 amp which is considered fast charging.

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

@u bwade wunner, now that's DIYing! :science: This is the 1A charger. The 60 watt supply is bare minimal rating for the Desktop application. Wood is possible as the heat build up seems very minimal. This is in part, from no active current flow while not in use and when in use it's only for...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

There is a charging port. A 1 amp charger unit comes with it. Not to be confused with the 60 watt power supply that comes with the Desktop. The charger has an LED indicator that is red while charging and turns green when done. The unit can still be used while charging as well. A led constantly...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Talked about it last post. It's to take into account those with skill sets and ideas to put together their own versions. Jarhead, ready to go in a jar, AC required. Kit. basic battery powered with components pre-wired and ready to install into ones imagination. Skeletor, Same as KIT but...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Yes, I have a few left. Here is the first Portable. Working like a charm. Sitting beside my ECig. Placing order for more of these boxes shortly. Finally sat down to figure out my pricing outside of my head...

That verifies my findings as well. Got well into the triple digits on number of puffs before I stopped counting. Just to let everyone know, I still have Jarhead Desktop units for sale as seems most want to wait for the portable. Can't blame the bums though. So anyone feeling the VAS eating at...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Glad you're enjoying it Stu!! EDIT: Also, you do know there is a magnet on the opposite side from the hole for cooling your VC...? You can't see it but your cap will stick. Coil heating isn't a problem in this application. You can actually still touch it without getting burnt after a 10 second...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

No condenser, with the newer, with more air flow caps, (last two versions) IMO, condensers are not needed nor the carb.

A finial group photo. They are all done and ready to go! I've reached out to all the souls on my list and they have the choice of these units or wait for the development of the portable unit. If I missed anyone, let me know. BTW, @GeeWhiz, that particular stem is one I did make. And Daddy...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I just realized I missed a picture of the underside of the lid. Perhaps an important one for many. The lid screws down in like 1/3 turn so no worries about over twisting the power line. The threads are of a nylon plastic material so a nice smooth feel while screwing or unscrewing. The modular...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I decided on a container that is easy to obtain, safe, and economical. A wooden box is a doable idea but wouldn't pass any electrical regulations or code such as UL or CSA. Not that I'm concerned about code, as they do have some ridiculous criteria, but I am about safety. We are dealing with a...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I think so too. It's pressure fit it. I used needle nose plyers to install. Can be pushed back out without a lot of effort but need plyers or long fingers to get it back in. What's kind of cool is it can be dressed up very easily with an insert that would expand inside the jar. It actually came...

Yes, more batches to come! Next batch will be the portable stand alone unit. I went all around to different dollar stores to find the Mason jars but they all have every size but that one. However, they all had a different type of jar so ended up going with them instead. Actually, it's a better...

Here's some more production porn for the clan. Another busy and fruitful night. Started with cutting some glass and heat treating the edges. I think I'll just post the pics as should pretty much sum it up. At this point, I took a break. :brow::leaf::ko: Then, when I got done...

TC Box Mods Firmware Discussions and Customizing

@KeroZen , I know you reflashed your FW because of flaking data somehow. Try taking it back one step further. Follow the recovery from Bricked method spelled out in my FAQ. That takes right back to running on a boot sequence only with no runnable data until you flash it. Then flash the OG FW...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I have begun assembly. Did a lot of the tedious prep work last night. Preparing wire harnesses and removed all those stupid blue connectors. What a PITA. Now that the Jarhead is doable, I'll concentrate making those up until the other parts get in for the stand-alone portable unit. At the mercy...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Now that's the kind of "out of the box" thinking that can get one's ideas flowing. But I don't think it's functional in our case as the heat is only making oils very warm to speed up evaporation. Fun thought though. So guy's, where to start. First off, my apologies, for what has turned out to...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Both. ;) You are correct that we have more available power to play with using the battery option so why not take advantage of it. Finding a lower current solution was to get the original design back on track and to allow folks to make their own as cheap as possible. My plans tonight are...

Well thank you for the praise and kind words. @hardboiledfrog, thanks for the information. Very informative. Good job I didn't catch that earlier or may not have tried the overlapping. I looked deep now and did find some multi level builds and were actually geared for hitting a smaller area as...
