I use 2 O-rings with mine as well. I have done so since I got spares. Still enough "give" I think. And I ordered a set of spare glass, so if I drop it or knock it over and it does break (seems unlikely, unless I throw it at something), I'm covered. Love the brick.

I usually get 2-3 get hits off each stem I load, probably same as above, .03-.05 per load.....but they are nice tasty hits, and I stir after each hit always.

I got one brand new that was exactly like that. So you certainly got a bargain.

Be careful when cleaning the lid and don't soak the rubber gasket, wipe gently. There have been several that have become dislodged.
