Definitely a preference thing. 13.5v with the Zap is too harsh for me. If the PD on 12v runs hotter than the Zap on 13.5 (if I remember your review), then the PD would be too harsh for me. I can't imagine using a koozie with the PD. I know you don't, Krazy, but some do. Different strokes...

Eneloops do not fit snugly in my box. And eneloop is far from the only low self discharge batteries. Ansmann is a brand that fits snugly. Also, from posts in this thread it seems Maha is one of the few brands whose batteries actually have their stated capacity.

vape4health and AGBeer, The break in period was a few days for me. I inhaled much faster than normal to stop combustion. Once I got the draw rate down the box stop running hot. I also didn't use it much during that time so the break in time could be a lot less if you're using The Box more often.
