I am noticing the dial on my classic is no longer turning smoothly between 6-9, but between 1-6 the dial turns smoothly like new. I'm thinking his must be because I only ever use the dial between 6-9, so it may be wearing down. Is this something I can fix? I heard the dials can be removed and...

    Vapor Brownies (ABV Cannaoil)

If doing it the cold infused way, does the oil need to be strained? Can you use a coffee filter? I don't have an electric coffee grinder, will normal grinder consistency be ok?

    Volcano

Good to know! Thanks V! I noticed if I don't shut off the fan before the bag over inflates, that air is blown back through the bottom...perhaps this is another culprit of why ABV escapes! Edit - I just had the top of my herb chamber spin off and ABV went everywhere all over the unit! That will...

    Volcano

I just wonder how that ABV is getting there...I doubt most of us are sprinkling ABV over the top of the Volcano. How does all this ABV get blown into the Volcano over time? Also, do you cover yours when not in use?

    Volcano

Anyone got any input on this? Is it typical, like in some of the YouTube videos, to find piles of ABV all over the guts inside the unit? I don't see how ABV falls down that way, unless it's falling out of the chamber...but wouldn't that fall into the air path and be blown out?

    Volcano

I'm thinking about looking under the hood for the first time after seeing videos of all the debris that makes it inside the volcano... Is it typical, like in some of the YouTube videos, to find piles of ABV all over the guts inside the unit? I don't see how ABV falls down that way, unless it's...

    PLENTY Vaporizer

Wow, that's bazaar. I'm stumped. Are you sure it's not herb? Do you use this heavily?

    Volcano

I understand that it covers it when it's not being used. My point was that it can't be covered while it's being used, therefore during that time it is being used dust is likely settling on the unit. That dust could then be blown up into the chamber, into the bag, and inhaled. However, that...

    Volcano

Do you think letting the air pump run for a few minutes before each use is enough to clear any dust that settled on top? I use mine daily so it sits out open all day , and I usually just turn it on for a few seconds first to blow dust out...now I wonder if I should be covering it? The way I...

    Volcano

Even if dust gets in, the volcanos air path isn't getting dust in it right? From my understanding the air path is entirely separate and closed off with the exception of the intake under the base.

    PLENTY Vaporizer

I understand your concern, i stopped using my Pax because i was noticing the metal scratching off as I used it. I was scared I was inhaling metal. (I'm not slamming Ploom. PAX is a great vaporizer, mine may have been defective, but it was enough for me to stop using it) I haven't seen this, and...

    Volcano

Great idea on the shop vac! Do you remove the top ever? I have never opened and cleaned mine, but I have seen units with very heavy use that have tons of debris under the hood. Question: Who covers their volcano when not in use to keep dust out? I always figured that turning the volcano air...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

I was skeptical of PBW and hesitant to use it because of my concerns, and lack of knowledge on the product...sorry for the doubts, this stuff is incredible! I did a few PBW soaks, followed by one ISO soak to get the super tiny pieces that the PBW didn't get, rinsed well, and my glass is as...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

Hey I'm just trying to ask questions, what might be a ridiculous question to you is a real concern for me.

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

I should have worded my question better, does the PBW leave microscopic pieces of metal behind? Let's it wasn't rinsed all the way, would I be inhaling microscopic pieces of metal? I'm not worried about the PBW eating my metal sink, common sense tells me it won't win that battle. But is PBW...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

The package that I have says 1 package for 3 gallons. I am using tbs and maybe 12ozs... I am rinsing well but after reading this: Does this mean that there are microscopic amounts of metal left to rinse out? Is there anything harmful in PBW? I am doing this all in my kitchen sink, I am sure...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

What do you mean by chemicals? I simply put the PBW granular stuff in a beaker of hot water, shake until the water looks cloudy, and pour it into the piece...after 5 minutes the water is clear, and there are pieces of the granular sitting at the bottom of the piece. What is the water to PBW...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

My PBW is just sitting at the bottom of the piece, it's not dissolving...the water is basically clear. What am I doing wrong?

    Volcano

Is it ok to leave the volcano on for a few hours at a time? I heard some people turn it off after every bag, and then turn it on, and wait for it to heat up for each bag...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

Going from room temp water to hot water can cause thermal stress? Wouldn't that be happening everytime you put hot water through a piece to clean it? I'm using the PBW without gloves, works fine, not that slippery for me as long as it all stays inside the piece. @Ratchett where can I view your...
