Find a small bottle that the stem will fit in. Fill it with iso and let it sit overnight, shaking occasionally. When ready, dump into a dish and evaporate. That's what I do when I try to reclaim.
I have done the slice method in the past but happened to find a cheese grater that I was unaware I had, haha. So I gave it a shot. Worked better than I was expecting. I like cheese more than sauce. The smoked mozzarella was a good touch. Id say it was a success overall.

Having the lid on it is probably ok. I mean they are used for canning so it should be ok. Just don't shock it by changing temps rapidly. Open it away from your face as well, haha.
I would go ahead and decarb the shake.
I think the general consensus is to decarb but I'm not sure it's necessary? I guess it depends what temp your crockpot runs?
Btw, I've only done this once, so I'm no expert.
