You're missing where the heat concentration is and how it causes the specific problem people are seeing. If you do as I suggest to a real unit, you'd see in a second what I am saying.

Nope, 180 degrees will take that little leg pointing to the case to pointing to the insides. Since copper distributes heat faster than nearly everything else, the heat of the top coil near that bend is the greatest. So if it was facing away from the case, the heat would be further inboard.

There are precious few images of the Orion's insides. But the top leg of the coil points to the plastic case. That bend in the wire is where things get hot. If you rotate the coil 180 degrees, the knee would point in toward the insides rather than the nearby case plastics.

They should have also rotated the coil 180 degrees so the 'knee' of the wire was further from the case. I mentioned it but fell through the cracks.

Cannabis sensitizes nerve endings. Works a treat in providing an early warning system. Go see a doctor about your nerve impingement.

That 8.46mm is before the grip-zone of the CCD. 8mm can get stuck in the sized section to the bottom depending on tolerances that day.

@plank and others - the CCD spacer is as simple as a stainless tube, 5/16" OD and a screw machine lathe. 10,000 pieces for $100. Each $5 set should have 3 sizes included as one tip is never enough for any DV enthusiast. Mini dose - micro dose - why bother dose. There is much reason for such...

I think DV would do well not to bother reminding people to sign up for a newsletter they are already signed up for. Kind of a "D'uh!"

Glass is a very close second to a quality wooden stem. I don't like glass mouthpieces. If it wasn't for that, there would be more glass in my stem collection.

My perfect kit is an older 'hot' cap and probably the '19 SS tip. The stem has to be a low-scent unlined wooden stem about 3-1/2 to 4" long. Add to this a properly tuned IH with a 7-10 second bake and you got a vape for life. That is how I define happiness.

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

I'm doing full daily dosing sessions with FireFlite [Flite #0000] charging to exactly 12.6V daily. Flite's capability was vetted @ 1 gram / full charge. @1.5-amp charge rate, it is less than an hour to full charge. Big Broth'a w/18650 could be 3 times that easily. The tech is simply awesome.

This looks like the current version - eBay link identical with a new label on the front; The one I used was this one - eBay link but they are out of stock in 3S. It turns on when the button is depressed. It lingers for a moment and turns itself off. This makes it a perfect circuit for direct...

I work with fired alumina - that will do 1mm all day and be very robust. A decent stem would be around $1K.
