So finally we can agree that those portable S&B units are for heavy users with heavy long term costs? New batteries every 3 month for the lifecycle of 2 years are 600$ only for batteries, without CUs or other stuffs. Quite expensive. Hope my housing keeps breaking every 3 months. Perhaps...

I thought about the same. The batteries are high quality ones from a german manufacturer but with too low capacity. I don't understand why they toke low capacity batteries for a heavy duty unit like this. Just make sure the new batterie has the same voltage and about the same or higher...

This is exactly what I tried to say with the picture! We should have this for the plenty, too! The oil pad is a bad compromise imo.

BHO isn't an electric conductor but could be aggressive like tree gum/resin especially when hot I think. I hope your nose is tricking you... But after what you are saying sounds like unhealty smell! Just be careful. I would try to open it up and clean like Vitolo said. @Ratchett Aren't you are...

I'm at 81 hours since Christmas getting 3 bowls per charge now (4 charges when unit was new). But I try to never run it down and not charge when cold/hot or in use. Crafty outperforms solo in every term apart batterie life and easiness to clean (and durability ) So it's just up to you...

Damn 75$ is expensive! Definitely you should send it in for warranty. Let us know what was the problem! Would still like to abuse my mighty daily in the future but I'm quite scared about the long term costs. Time will tell...

@Puffers Not a bad thought. Heater is 30 watt, charger 36 watt. To me it sounds like mighty has a real charge-through from definition of the words and the batteries loosens current and capacity faster and electric resistance rises. Not a problem of the heater I think, but I don't know the...

I totally agree now! Don't feel offended, German engineers like to be precise with their ideas (see the housings breaking of S&B units ) so I write a lot to clarify my thoughts and I suffer under the language barrier and permanent recreational pot use :science: I should work on this, I...

Still no contact from Hermes, phone number on their site is dead, too. Contacted my reseller, assuming he wouldn't believe me about the power drop. Glad he reads here on FC, too, and is aware of the problems. They didn't get the gcmv until yet and don't have black tcmv for warranty left. They...

When I heat up my filled bowl without CU there is quite some good amount of vapor escaping around the bowl because the stainless steel border is attached to the heater directly and cooks the herbs anyway... Perhaps it's me and I don't get what some mean by convection, conduction and radiation...

It's the same plastic on all S&B units from crafty to volcano digit. In the case of crafty/mighty it's designed only to thin I guess.

The plastic "taste" is just the smell of the crafty/mighty hologram on new CU's when glue is fresh imo.

Thank you @kimura, your comparison to S&B is exactly what I was going to ask about. Damn I hope Hermes will reply soon and trade my tcmv for a new gcmv 2015. Is there any way to find out which temps or firmware my unit is really running? The reseller where I got it from sounded like: "ahm, yeah...

You're totally right, but not for the mighty. Apart from the housing breaking of course. Mighty charges in less than 2 hours if dead, runs with empty batteries and last for me half a day with heavy usage and a day if going slow (can't vaporize too much at work and when studying...) In my case...

It's just a bug from the software. Error 004 can be provoqued with empty batteries and a heavy draw over 30 seconds. The unit thinks it's not heating properly anymore and goes in error mode. at least it's the information from S&B, but your right what the manual says! Not a big deal anyway. Just...

No, it's just a "cold heater" problem. For more Infos please read up my very first posts in this forum some days ago, simply type "error 004" or "err 004" in the search bar or just read up the last few pages. :) Or just enjoy your mighty! :peace:

@dannyboy Sounds like your unit is right. You can use higher temps if you want for instant clouds. Just start over 200 degrees directly. Please let me know if you still enjoy the Pax more. @kolila Be careful on using cheap plastic parts on hot units. If you do back-to-back-sessions I would stay...

For the most strains the default temps are fine. Long puffs can be normal depending on temp and material, but draw resistance shouldn't be to high, much better than pax. Try to not overgrind your weed. This is not a Mflb or a Pax. A fine grind can clog the upper sieve. Just use a 3 or 4 piece...

I tought the 2-part-mouthpiece was designed that way because the upper part of it can be stuck in the 6 " flexicone + directly to get the best of both worlds... The flexicone+ itself gets hotter on the outside even when the vapor is cooler when hitting without mouthpiece. Just uncomfortable...
