Well I tried the pad as the top screen a few bowls worth but noticed the same residue glaze buildup in the cooling chamber/mouthpiece. A short ISO bath anf spot checking with w quips worked well. Kinda disappointed with how gunky the device gets and was hoping it wouldn't require much cleaning...

Wow. Just to clarify when you say chamber you're referring to the underside of the cooling chamber/mouthpiece right? Do you notice a flavor reduction? I can't tell if I'm making it up or not.
