Stonemonkey said the green light is just to indicate when vapor production will start. So technically the green light means it's up to temp enough to start making vapor. It just isn't fully up to the temp you like or are used to yet.

That depends on the strain. Sativa's or sativa dominant seems to be closer to 10am and for indica's or indica dominants I turn it up a tad.

All the hoses do that just keep trying and trying lol. Or try and soak it in warm water for a bit to soften it up.
