@PoopMachine Live in the US, have two dropdowns, one m2m from Texas, one f2f from China. My slim base adapters fit in both no problem. Maybe your adapter is mis-machined possibly? I do like the 14m adapter for the slim better though, but the female works fine.

First one might work depending on diameter of threaded rod and if you can find a threaded washer to hold the flat coil and halo dish more effectively. Hard to say though, maybe just works with provided stuff, it does say flat coil. Just looks weird. Second one looks pretty similar to slim imo...

Those that have tried the TAG SiC haven't liked it very much. The dish is small and deep while the retaining nut is oversized and makes it difficult to place dabs into the dish without hitting the nut or the deep side walls. It is a lot cheaper though.... So I think you get what you pay for...
