Leaving the WS on is fine, just keep it in a safe spot. I typically turn mine on at let it idle at about half power, then when I need a hit I just dial it up for a few minutes. For logs in general, heat is what eventually wears them out, especially where the hot heater tube meets the wood...

All of my M's carry varying degrees of this hack........works great! Just keep your x-rings lubed, and use the digger-outer on the cap to gently press it in. Best done while freshly cleaned and a little beeswax ready to aid.

Here you go fellow FC'ers.......Selling my Plenty and Crafty, as I just don't use them that much anymore. Well cared for. Crafty purchased 11/15, 37 hrs on the clock. Still charges well and works like a champ. Very little use other than maintenance and battery cycling for the last 16 months...
