I have both. My GH is great for places and times where the Solo won't do (due to size/form factor, heating time, and ease of loading), but for all else, the Solo is my preference! I actually think they pair very well together, if they're the only two you own.

If you're having trouble loading, get a pack of doob tubes! They can help with loading in two ways: 1. Quick 'n dirty - Put the herbs in the tube then shove the Hopper bowl-first into the tube and tilt it to get herb into the Hopper. This is not my preferred method, as it tends to get powder...

My new backend only has the engraving partially filled. I'm tempted to take the finest point sharpie to color it in. Here's a comparison shot of the oldstyle backend (left) and the new one (right): The threading seems different between the two. It doesn't seem to extend as far up on the oldstyle.

In addition to possibly getting a wong, I'm interested in trying out one of the PVHE gongs. How do they compare to the normal PV gong (which was the one I had that I broke last night)? What are peoples' experiences with them?
