Speaking of batteries someone on reddit claimed the grasshopper uses a 13650 battery. Can someone with a unit on hand confirm this?

What I'm saying is if you were going to make a knockoff grasshopper wouldn't it be better to beat the actual grasshopper launch in order to satisfy pent up demand by people who aren't patient enough to wait for the real thing?

Photos and details of the prototype have been around since 2013. If it were that easy I'm sure someone would have done it already. It's a testament to how bleeding edge the grasshopper is that after all this time no other company has released anything close to it in terms of size and performance.

This is total b.s. What was the point of the ordering system if random people who ordered months after I did end up getting theirs first. Favoritism I say plain and simple.:nope:

I've been waiting for my grasshopper since the indiegogo campaign ended in December of 2013! What's a few more months I say. They're still posting updates, replying to email, and working hard at grasshopper labs hq. I've seen no indication that they're scamming people or in over their heads or...

Purple one looks sexy. May have to order one of those once all pre-orders are shipped out.

Wow just noticed that we are closing in on the 2 year anniversary of this thread. If the GH ships before that date I will be pleasantly surprised.

No mention of resolving the heating element problem. Vague wording about "solidifying dates" basically we have lots of pretty metal tubes with nothing to put in them is what I'm getting out of this update but maybe I'm just getting cynical in my old age.:myday:

Carbon fiber grasshopper! Not sure how it would stand up to the heat but it would be light as hell and look awesome.

It seems like it's one step forward three steps back with the grasshopper updates. I'm remaining optimistic about the GH but if this thing does go under I believe it will be due to their failure to navigate the intricacies of international supply chain management and not through any malicious...

Super bummed about this last update. Things were going so smoothly too. Saw at the end they mentioned more units will be trickling out by the end of the month. Hopefully to the indie gogo backers this time not more mysterious pre campaign investors.

Own the orignal pax and love it. I'm intrigued by the pax 2 but I'm wondering, how do you use a WPA with the lip sensor thing? I vape on high for maximum extraction but it can be way too harsh without water filtration.

Agreed. I wonder who the first few hoppers have been shipped to. I an early bird backer as well, around number 60 or 70, and I haven't received anything. Perhaps some mysterious billionaire v.c. Types who funded the project have been given first preference.

We need a battery stress test vid to get a better idea of real world run time. Maybe three grasshoppers each on low, medium, and high settings side by side and continuously load bowls in the vape-o-matic machine until the batteries are drained.
