Hi, I would like to give you a tip which is very useful if want to re-pack while the lithe is still hot. Get a glass with water and submerge only the tip for about 5 seconds. Unscrew, repack, and go. Running water is also an option to cool it fast, but it is very important not to wet the wood.

I have gone over lost document,including answers from raw material suppliers, and found brass to be RoSH compliant if lead falls below 4%.

Brass contains lead in small proportions, and shouldn't be focused concern as the lead atoms tend to be fixed within the micro structure of the alloy. The brass melting point compared with the vaporization temp suggests it is a safe for this use.
