This is FC- if there is a potential for off gassing, people are going to want to know about it, even if is not going to occur under suggested usage.

We don't know how many people actually had the option. There is a post on reddit from someone who jumped on the offer of early shipment, emailed Trevor more than once, and never even heard back. They could have shipped only 3 of them by now, for all we know....

If that actually happens by the 15th, it'll be the first estimated deadline of anything they've ever not missed.... Careful what you wish for, sounds like some pre orders are getting updated to a Sept 2015 ship date. EDIT, that date may be for brand new preorders.....
