The following only pertains to the solid valve: I sprinkle material into the chamber, anywhere from just enough to cover the screen, up to 2/3 full of the chamber. It gets less efficient the more you put in, at least for me, personally. The top screen acts like a plunger. My habit is to depress...

Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

Everybody's got personal preferences, but there's also a bit of a learning factor. With the white ceramic wicks, they didn't seem to absorb too much. When you tapped the button, the concentrate kind of would melt to the wire and wick but not absorb into it. Half the hit could slide off and into...

    Mothership Glass

Today I just hit a piece the likes of which I never imagined I would ever see or touch... But, being that I lived in Bellingham (Home base for the Mothership) for ~5 years, and currently reside about an hour away.. Sometimes things happen.. I've had the great fortune of being able to hit 3...

Somebody here once recommended to me to roll the Herc over so "UP" points down, then tilt it horizontally so that the air hole is uncovered, this breaks the vacuum and prevents water from being sucked in while you twist and pull the Hercules out. This is a terrible explanation compared to the...

The SR-71 and SR-74x both use non-threaded top caps, so the one that @elmoe420 linked IS the one you want. Only the SR-74 used the threaded top cap and upper chamber. The SR-71 and SR-71x top cap CAN be slipped into the threaded upper chamber of the -74, but it's not as nice of a fit as the...

Last time I cleaned my herc.. 5 days ago IIRC, I was super rushed, didn't want to take the time for my usual lengthy ISO soak and distilled water boil. So i just torched the coil clean. My gold plated spring pin was pretty gummed up with oil. I poked the pin out (with a paper clip through the...

Which is the best bag vaporizer?

@nicelytoasted , thanks so much for the detailed response. I have a Volcano digit with solid valve, and a friend owned an Herbalaire for a few years. Your point that the vapor is extremely comparable is exactly my experience, also. The main detractors for the Herbalaire for me was the separate...

If you put the stainless cartridge straight onto the Persei top, with no bottom adapter, does the cart fire? Or does it still blink?

    Any good Netflixxing going on?

Just gave Twin Peaks a run through for the first time (Before my time when it aired originally; half way through the series, I heard that a few more episodes are coming to Showtime... so that's neat!) I'm getting nostalgic and kind of want to take a drive out towards Snoqualmie Falls now...

Can you fix the okeanos-ed cart by hitting one upside down for a few seconds? As far as mouthpieces go: I don't have an official word on this, but I'd always suspected the reason the mouthpiece isn't supposed to be submerged was due to the O-ring. But, maybe I'm wrong, and the reason it can't...

The solid valve is awesome for parties. You can throw the solid valve around like a dart to pass it in a group.. Make sure your receiver is aware of whats incoming, or you'll spend a lot of time with the valve hitting the ground, searching for the little plastic mouthpiece.

    Honey Bucket Carb Caps

After trying the Quave Club Banger (Very similarly shaped piece of quartz compared to the swingarm of a mothership bucket- No surprise there as Quave was one of the original Mothership crew - I'm no longer lusting after a honey bucket quite as much. You can instantly change the draw on a club...

    Honey Bucket Carb Caps

Mothership buckets + OFZ have a pretty decent amount of restriction and work really well in the MS pieces I've tried. (Eggs, beakers, minis)

I bet if you contacted S&B they would help you out. They hooked me up with 3 new rubber feet for the bottom of my 'cano when I asked for one!

    Volcano

I just recommend practicing what you're doing and it gets easier. There is a new balloon fixation ring available from S&B that's easier than the original clip/clamp that you're using. Most of my problems come from not folding the bag evenly enough near the o ring. Too much bunched up here or...

The solid valve's chamber is a slightly smaller diameter if i recall correctly. That and the plunger might be the reason why it's a bit more efficient. I do not grind my herb nearly as finely with my Volcano as I would with my MFLB and not quite as fine as my Cloud Evo. I fill my chamber...

    Volcano

Volcanos have been producing big clouds for over a decade. The Herbalizer is a much newer unit I haven't tried and couldn't tell you about the quality of it's vapor. I have tried the Herbalaire which is also a bag capable unit. It has no valve system so you suck on a sticky gooey thing you have...

    Volcano

No, all plastics used for all parts of the Volcano are high heat safe. Jman, you've raised so many problems about the Volcano that in half a decade of ownership and use I have never heard of before, and yet you can't post any pictures to show the problems you're having so that we or S&B could...

The Nibbler XL has a honeycomb diffuser below the mouthpiece, dunno if I'd call it a true splash guard. I've certainly never had issues inhaling water. I use it on my Hercs about 99% of the time. My weak throat drastically prefers moisture conditioned vapor and being able to judge the thickness...
