I just posted detailed info on how to use 18500s. The 8 comes with a shorty tube allowing 2x18500 use. You would need to stack a long ss tube onto a standard adjustable Persei or 8 body to run 2x18650s. This makes a very long/tall setup, unwieldly.

I stack the shorty SS tube onto the standard adjustable tube. For me it was a nice balance between battery longevity and awkardness, before I got the core. Now I just want to use single 18500s as they last a lil longer than the 18350- no tube exists fot that, though.
