I just ordered a 20mm Liger V2 in blue. + SiC insert and a matching blue Storm Cell cap. :D Expected delivery date 2-4 weeks. :( No biggie, I'm covered ... but I still hope it's closer to 2 weeks.

Do you guys feel comfortable putting the Liger directly into in your rig w/o the use of a dropdown? Would you do it on a $100 piece? A $1000? How clean is it?

@mvapes ^^^ I was thinking of just sandblasting the outside of the dropdown; leave the inside nice and smooth.

What do you guys think about sandblasting a dropdown to help mitigate heat transferring to one's glass? Would the increased surface area make much difference in dissipating heat or just be an aesthetic difference? Meh, probably overthinking things.
