Is the outer vertical wall your halo polished smooth? It looks glossy; my halo has a matte finish all over.

Agreed. What did the Beta wicking pattern look like? My Halo's wicking pattern, which hailed from the first batch for public release, looks like a bunch of concentric circles (to the naked eye).
