Boss Micro is better to look at, I almost picked one up. I think that uses a mini-XLR connection as opposed to the standard XLR of most units. I ended up buying the RDK-200.

@TelFiRE What temp are you running @? And what kind of control unit + heater coil are you using? I'm running an Auber RDK-200 with an Auber flat coil @ 627*; good temp for me. :tup:

Or if you have an enail, turn it up to ~950* or so for 5-10 minutes. Turns everything to a fine white ash that you can blow off with a few bursts of compressed air.

@Cannabis Connoisseur I use my SiC Halo more than the SiC + Sapphire insert. But, if full sapphire halo was available, I would definitely purchase it.

I like mine, but prefer a torch + SIC Halo. However, it has bailed me out a few times in the ski resort parking lot. Sometimes my torch does not like the combination of very cold temps and high altitude. I put it up for sale, but will likely keep it for it's versatility. And the pulse method...

I've used my second base and heatsink, no bad smells. :) @darkrom I don't use the sapphire insert much, but when I do, I drop it on the nail @ 777*.
