The pads are definitely a bit more restrictive for airflow - you will have to make sure to pack your stems fairly loose, I would think Caligulas method with a 2nd screen works better for herb

Here is my temporary solution to MPT3 leaks... it's a slightly shortened blue cap from a BUD carto - pointy end fits perfectly in the air-hole.. I find that this is the more reliable way for me to transport my concentrates rather than having the tank upside down because it can often flip over...
