We are about to release a WPA made for male GONGs, as on dab rigs. It uses silicone O-rings as our standard WPA does. We would like your opinion on whether we should add a handle to it or wrap it in leather as shown.

I don't know about the quality of Xikar butane. According to pureanalytics.com, filtering doesn't mean anything, but a chemist friend said that each filtration process removes another contaminant. I do know that cheap butane plugs the lighters. That is the extent of my butane knowledge.

I agree, esp. with the dry completely. We use WATCO Danish Oil for the cap. Just be sure that you oil only the exterior. We dry it for a few days at a warm, not hot, temp to make the smell disappear.

There's more metal to heat up on the HT cap, especially with the debris screen mounted. On the plus side, the debris screen should lessen scorching with a full bowl.

I would recommend one of the slow set epoxies, which is what we use. It will also help to file a very small notch in the pin to give the epoxy something to grab.
