This is a leather patch that I made for holding the J-hook.

We looked in all the corners of our shop and found a Version One Cap, a Hi Temp Cap prototype (no debris screen) and 2 Vaporscope stems. They are available on the website now.

That was a transition period for the Lotus. Does your cap have a metal spacer ring under the hot plate and what does it look like, or a spiked ring around the diffuser plate (with all the holes)?

Everything is exactly the same. The hot plate is made by photo-machining and sometimes some of the photo-resist is left on the plate. When the plate is stamped you can see the impressions of the particles. Too small to measure but are obvious with good lighting.

A good idea. We also actually have a lot of hot plates that have very small dimples in them. Not enough to affect anything but noticeable because of the mirror finish. Would anyone be interested in those?

Good innovation! It probably spreads the heat more evenly around the 'hump' and eliminates any hot spots in the bowl.

Both hot plates are made of pure nickel. You probably noticed that the hot plate flexes as it is heated. The sunburst pattern stiffens the plate so the only flexing is at the plate center, causing it to fatigue and crack. Using a smaller flame delays the cracking a lot.

We are not using the silicone o-ring anymore since it didn't stand up to the heat. You are correct about the present pipe stem and WPA not fitting the original (8-10 year old) Lotus. Everything newer than that is interchangeable. EU retailers: Germany Vaporizer Online Shop Berlin...

Hmmm. Where to start? Historical stuff first. We did have a silicone o- ring as a spacer for a while but it was getting sticky from the heat. We replaced it with the metal spacer ring that is used now. The metal ring cools the hot plate slightly and pretty much eliminates the red hot spot that...
