Amsterdam Coffee Shops - Which Have Vaporizers To Use?

I don't mean to sidetrack this thread, but I'm wondering what the current rules/laws/customs are about coffeeshops, especially for US citizens. I enjoyed them a few times in the 80s and 90s, but it's been a while since I've been to Holland. I was under the impression that a few years ago they...

    MiniVap or Mighty

I don't own either; I was about to buy a minivap until the Mighty and Crafty were released. I have read through the threads very carefully, and the one thing I'd add to this conversation is that, while the MiniVap is undoubtedly a fantastic vape, capable of great flavor, there have clearly been...

I'm also a one or two hit wonder, and I'm glad to hear of your method, which makes sense. Here's my question: do you pack a full bowl and do it over a few days, or do you use the little pad and just use what you need for each wonder-hit?

    Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

I've been around this forum for a while now, witnessing the arrival of some exciting new vapes: the Solo, the Pax, the Cloud, the Firefly, the Minivap, etc. And I've got to say that I've never seen such a promising launch as the Crafty and Mighty. It's been a month now and we've seen no major...

    Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

The release of the Crafty and Mighty, and all the enthusiasm in the two FC threads, is welcome fun for us Volcano owners. The 'Cano gets very little respect (or interest) on the forum, and it's a pleasure to have so many Volcano veterans out and proud.

darkrom, I've enjoyed your posts on the Crafty and I'm really interested in how your experimenting is going. I got rid of my Pax for exactly the reason you describe. I tend to be a fairly light user, and it sounds like the Crafty hits pretty big. I can easily imagine taking one or two hits...

The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

You seem to be one of the few so far with both the Minivap and the Mighty. Have you posted a comparison that I missed? I'm definitely curious how they stack up.

This thread is getting silly. Now some are assuming that S&B are marketing noobs? That they don't know what they're doing with their pricing, as if they've never sold a vaporizer? Lots of people can't afford a S&B product, and lots more don't want to spend the money. I bet they know that.

I agree completely. People who have never used the unit are now speculating that it's overpriced, breaks easily when dropped, has a flawed battery, is over- and under-designed, and so on. Early reports from real users suggest that it's at least competitive with other portables, and better than...

It sounds like the plastic can be cleaned. But I'm curious about the second part of your comment. The Easy Valve (which I own) is certainly cleanable, and durable. I've used mine for years and never replaced it. If the Mighty is made to the standard of the Easy Valve, I'm IN.

Is the cooling chamber the top piece that's easily replaced?

Thanks Quetzalcoatl and darkrom--that's helpful. Darkrom, you've probably already answered this and I should reread the thread, but I also got rid of my Pax because of the conduction; besides the loss of flavor (for me), I thought it was a bit smelly for hotel use, etc. Is the Crafty better...

I'm a luddite; I don't use a smartphone and don't want one (or don't want to explain to my wife that I'm buying one for a vape). Here's my question: if I picked up a used Android phone, could I download the Crafty app and use it *without purchasing a calling plan*? In other words, could I...

The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Cool! If there's any way to get a close up of the bowl or oven or whatever they call it, that would be great. I know that many MiniVap owners use a mesh basket placed into the bowl, and that seems to reduce the risk of small flakes dropping into the airway, etc. Mostly, though, I'd just love...

    MiniVAP Vaporizer

I'm not sure what you mean about "pretending to be something you are not." (And I think you mean six of these, half a dozen of those....") Language is what we've got, and we might as well be as precise as possible.

    MiniVAP Vaporizer

No disagreement from me on the facts, but I'm interested in how we use language so I'm going to press it. To say it's a "portable masquerading as a desktop" would mean that it's really a portable that's dressed up (or pretending to be) a desktop; it seems to me that the fun thing about the mV...

This is a fun thread to read, and I love reading all the excitement and information. Minor correction: I think you guys mean that it's a "desktop masquerading as a portable," don't you?

Vulcano Easy Valve or Arizer Solo

Just to be clear, I never said that the Solo isn't well made. I said that it's "not as well made" as the Volcano. The Solo is popular and is capable of being a solid unit. It has worked for me. But if we're comparing the build and quality control of the two vapes, the Volcano is clearly a...

Vulcano Easy Valve or Arizer Solo

As others have said, they are indeed different beasts with different advantages. I own both; I've used the Volcano for about three or four years, the Solo for about a year. The difference in cost is considerable, and not something easily dismissed. And the Volcano is obviously not nearly as...

    MiniVAP Vaporizer

Thanks MinnBobber. Mighty helpful. I'm also a lightweight (but daily) user, so your info is especially applicable. I'm sure I'll follow up with more questions ... soon. Thanks again.
