My MassDrop Indica seemed to have no obnoxious aromas. Finished the initial charge (about an hour since it came mostly charged it seems) and then two burn offs, recharge, and rock'n'roll. My wife would tell you it could smell like a dead water buffalo and I wouldn't notice or care that much...

Pull off the mouthtip and you'll find a "filter" stuck in the bottom of it. Pry that out, put the mouthpiece back on and you'll find it to be much better. ~
